Queermosa Awards 2016

QUEERMOSA AWARDS were established by Portico Media in the spirit to “celebrate diversity and accelerate acceptance.” Portico Media has been a proud advocate of LGBTQ rights and has taken on marriage equality as one of its corporate social responsibility focuses.

It is the first awards ceremony dedicated to LGBTQ rights activism and LGBTQ people in Taiwan, which is often hailed the most LGBTQ-friendly country in Asia. We hope these efforts will encourage more public figures to stand up for the community and inspire more LGBTQ presence in film, music, literature and media.

The first QUEERMOSA AWARDS ceremony took place at W Taipei on Oct. 28, 2016. We honored recipients aMEI, Dee Hsu, fashion baby, Qi Jia-wei, Shao Qi-mai, music video of We Are Different Yet The Same, J.P. Morgan Taiwan, TV drama Rock Records In Love – Scar and The Reporter.
